Gentle Yoga
Learn yoga basics in a welcoming and inclusive space. Perfect if you are new to yoga, want to learn more about alignment or are working with injuries or health conditions.
In my Gentle Yoga classes we go back to basics. Each pose is explained in detail with different options, modifications and variations explored. We hold each pose for a few breaths to give you the opportunity to really feel into the shape and notice what is happening in the body.
In addition to asana practice (physical yoga poses), we will also explore pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation (mindful stillness and movement).
If you have health conditions or injuries, this is a great class for you. We move at a gentle pace allowing time for you to ask questions, try different variations and take breaks.
I encourage students to listen to their own body, without judgement or expectations. Every person is unique and on any given day we can feel different. Coming to your yoga mat with an open mind and a willingness to observe what shows up in the moment helps you to get the most out of your practice.
